For a second-straight week, the Ai40 Index closed positively, although not by much. But a gain is a gain and the Index saw an increase of 0.40 points to reach a value of 109.63 by Friday’s close. This was a small jump of 0.36%, up from last week’s value of 109.43.

It was a much-needed week of gain for the Ai40 Investors’ Index. The Index finally managed to lift itself up by 0.28 points to close at a value of 109.23. This up a meagre quarter percent (0.256%) on last week’s value of 108.95. This is thanks to some relatively strong performances by South African companies.
More loss for the Ai40 Index as it shed another half percent: down from last week’s closing value of 109.57, the Index lost 0.62 points, or 0.56%, to close Friday on a value of 108.95.
