The Ai40 Index bounced back this week after last week’s low point of 111.65. The Index jumped 1.39% to reach a value of 113.21.

19 April 2013; Washington DC, USA: The World Bank and Africa investor Strategic Dialogues with African banks and investors met for the fourth time today in Washington DC, alongside the IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings.
There was some good news for the Ai40 Index: it finally ended its losing streak and closed Friday at a value of 114.00, up 1.62% from last week’s close of 112.18.
Over the Easter period, African equities experienced a lull. The Ai40 Index closed Friday at a value of 112.18, down slightly (-0.5%) from a March 28 close of 112.76.
The Ai40 Index improved after a few weeks’ decline to achieve a slight increase of 0.20% at Wednesday’s close to reach 112.76, up from last week’s 112.53.
